Tobacco is an incredibly addictive substance. Studies have found that smoking tobacco can be as addictive as heroin and cocaine(opens in new tab), but what makes people crave a cigarette? And why do many people struggle to stop smoking despite being aware of the dangers.

If two-thirds of all smokers want to stop smoking, and every year nearly three in 10 smokers try to do so, why are there not more ex-smokers than smokers? What is it that makes cigarettes so addictive and makes quitting smoking so challenging?

It’s not just the nicotine that makes smoking addictive – it’s a mixture of behavioural habits, social and environmental influences, and maybe even your genes. This article will explain more about these causes and how you can overcome them to successfully stop smoking.

In short wording the smoking in tobacco triggers a "reward center" in the mind. So, when you smoke, your body system gets used to getting a compensate. Anyhow, I do not like smoking. It is really bad for your health.

Smoking cigarettes is additive because of nicotine and as what the smokers said, it kills their boredom when they smoke, releases their tensions and more. But if you quit smoking, more health benefits will be at your hands. Smoking is not cool, it kills.

It’s not that it’s just great fun, like going to the cinema – smoking is chemically addictive. It has an effect on the brain that makes you want to keep doing it. Despite the negative health effects being pretty well known by now, smokers seem to either disagree that smoking is harmful, or come up with interesting justifications for smoking.

Nice topic I really agree with you dear friends, no doubt nicotine is addictive. As you know that cigarettes have Nicotin and lungs have badly affected due to nicotine. Mostly people have smoked under the 18 years, it is very dangerous for him. I think we can stop a lot of youngsters to get into the bad habit.

Penned some decades in the past, the aforementioned verses to a mainstream oddity melody imply hilariously at what we know to be a fatal genuine situation: tobacco habit and the incomprehensible number of cohorted health dangers. The age-old inquiry is, why --despite overpowering proof joining tobacco to illnesses like growth, coronary illness and emphysema --millions press on to smoke.
