Here I want to talk about the Atlantic beach. This is a family beach with wide flat areas before getting to the ocean. The only drawbacks are the lack of restroom facilities and parking. There is public access hidden discretely among the houses, but only a few have parking, and that parking is limited, but it is free.

My favorite beaches in Flordia, were in Naples and Sarsota,
Check out the hotels on their shores, We use to stay at the
Sherideran, Long time ago, If the names the same??? Lots of interesting to see in Sarasota circus town!!!!!!!

Naples
some fun things to do are: coconut point shopping: there is a movie theater there, lots of shopping, and restaurants : makes a good day trip

-public skating at Germain Arena
-Naples zoo
-roller rink skating Generations
-Naples Pier
-5th ave, lots of nice restaurants- fun night on the town
-Sunsplash waterpark- in cape coral
-Waterpark on Livingston road in Naples
-Fort Myers Beach and "Town Centre"- a fun touristy place with a pier, bunch of t shirt shops, ice cream, restaurants

Sarasota beach
You can go to the Ringling Museum. It has the best collection of Peter Paul Rubens paintings and it has a beautiful formal garden in the Italian Style. You can spend the afternoon there and if you want, go to see John Ringling's Mansion. Ringling was the man who put on the Ringling Brothers - Barnum and Baily Circus.
You can go walking on Main Street in Sarasota. There's a lot of shops to look at and you can have lunch at Patrick's. The business person's "power lunch" so the food and the daily specials are always fresh.
Go to Mote Marine. It is beyond St. Armand's Circle and it
has a nice little aquarium and you can see the sharks and other giant critters that swim in the Gulf.
Go to the Shelby Gardens. It is close to downtown and is a nice botanical garden right on Sarasota Bay.
Go to Island Park. It is on the bay, next to Marina Jack's. There's a nice little "native" bar there that is one of the few outdoor bars that is beach side, in the city. It is especially romantic at night.
Those are the best of the lot. You'll have a fine time there. It is a beautiful little city.

Jack, This is a really nice list about Florida's beaches. I visited only Palm Beach before watkins glen state park to niagara falls tour. It is one of my favorite beach in this US State. I spent their great time with my whole family. This beach offers lots of interesting activities for enjoyment.
