Oxygen Bars

I recently tried out an oxygen bar at Universal Citywalk here in Los Angeles. While it was very relaxing and refreshing, I couldn't help but notice a lot of people did not know what an oxygen bar was.

I am wondering if oxygen bars are just a California thing, or maybe even just a Los Angeles thing? A lot of people had no idea what we were doing, and we got some really weird looks.

I have never ever heard of an oxygen bar. That is new to m; I'm about to google it.

Basically, you hook up to the machine and you breathe in oxygen, either scented or non-scented through your nose. They are supposed to relax and rejuvinate you, or even give you a really small high.
