Israel is a great place with a strong cultural identity, but with the conflict in recent years i would be wary of visiting.

The conflict in Israel is actually limited only to the borders and the Gaza Strip. The rest of the country is still pretty much a good place to visit. However, you still need to be prepared when going here.

I totally agree that Israel is a great vacation destination, you can find everything you want here: great beaches, historical and holy sites, varaity of food.
