  • Destination - Croatia

    HI guys and girls.

I just came back from a two week cruise with my friends and family along the Dalmatian (Croatian) coast and islands and we had an amazing time. I see here that everyone is talking about Italy, France, Spain and the UK, but noone's mentioning the other amazing countries all over Europe that are also worth visiting.

That's why I would like to recomend the Croatian coast.. especially if you can see the whole coast on a gulet like we did.

So.. come on.. if you've been to Croatia, share your experience with the rest of us. I'm planning to go back next year and see the inland and Istria.

In croatia there are many nice places to visit.

In summer I like to go to Island Rab. There are nice beaches and also in high season you can find quite lonely places on some beaches but you have to walk a little cause there is not possible to use car.

Must see place by my opinion in croatia is also National park Plitvicka jezera

              Safely back

Well, some posts ago I asked if anyone knew of cheap and good accomodation in Croatia. Well we found it, and we had a great time. The plitvica lakes were magnificent and we lived in a cheap, but good camping nearby. We later went to Rovinj which was a nice city, though I somehow liked Selce even better as I went there. Selce is small, not so touristy, while Rovinj is much bigger, though it has a very poor selection of public beaches...

But, compared to cities like Barcelona, it is much cheaper and I think maybe I would prefer both Selce and Rovinj to a hot summer day in Barcelona.

Well Croatia has a range of accommodations from budget to luxury ones. For budget travelers, apartment is cheap and best mode of accommodation. While selecting an apartment make sure that it is well located. It should have easy access to dining areas, attractions and public transportation.

I wisited Croatia coast also (they have more then 1000 islands, amazing) but top destination to me is Dubrovnik. Old Town is the fortified area bisected by the gleaming avenue Stradun and capped everywhere by those famous earthen tiles, and it's a UNESCO World Heritage Site brimming with attractions: the Franciscan Monastery, with its delicate arches and 700-year-old pharmacy; Ono-frio's Fountain, from 1444, festooned with spitting faces; the assiduously carved Rector's Palace; the Dominican Monastery's priceless art and the well that quenched the thirst of residents during the war; the cathedral's polyptych by Titian (shockingly, exposed to sunlight) and its overstuffed reliquary of withered martyrs' bones and fingers.
                    Most beautiful town i've seen.
