I am watching tourismzone for a long time but only now i decided to start a new thread here.
Why did I started a new thread called "discover constanta"?
Well because in 2010 as well in 2011 TUI brochure Romania is represented only by the city of Constanta.
The City of Constanta is Romania second city both by population and importance after Bucharest.
Constata is the oldest permanently inhabited city in the country it was founded around 600 BC by the ancient greeks.
The ancient name of Constanta in Tomis. In the Roman Empire Tomis becomes the Capital City of the Black Sea West coast.
Nowadays, after the fall of the comunism, and after we enterd The EU, Constanta is searching for her identity as the eastern gate of Europe.
Constanta harbor is the second largest harbor in Europe and the 7th in the world.
Olso the city i served by an international airport.
Constanta is the only city in Romania with acces to all transport ways:by air, by sea and river, by road and by train.
Constanta is sittuated at the end of three European Corridors:4,7,9.
With a population of over 350.000 placed in the city and its suburbs, and a population of 510.000 in the metro area Constanta is olso fighting for supremacy in tourism on the black sea coast.
In the northern part of the city is Mamaia Resort a luxury city district, well knoen for its nighlife(shaggy,akon, duffy, ja rule, julio iglesias, boney m, kely rowland and many other wel known artists performed here)and international events(fashion tv summer festival, mamaia music festivl, class one grand prix, aero gp, exotic car show, mamaia world music, international salsa festival, national salsa festival, orange music festival, sunwaves music festival-world top ten DJs are mixing at this festival-, pepsi beach football championship).

Olso Mamaia has may 4 and 5 star hotels, i recomand you: Rex,Vega,Scandinavia, Palm Beach, Mamaia, IAKI.

Constanta is one of the oldest cities in Romania. The city has lots of museums, casinos, bars and night clubs for travellers. Ovid's Square and St. Peter & Paul Orthodox Cathedral are the main sights to see and visit. Hope you will enjoy exploring this city.
