  • A Fresh experience – from Bangkok to Chiang Mai

After exploring wonderful shining of Bangkok temples and nightlife clubs, moving ahead to Chiang Mai is really a new and eye-opening experience. Train travel is pretty cheap: we got first class cabin from Bangkok to Chiang Mai just for ₤25. However, do not expect first-class rated luxury as the facilities were just simple. And it might be that you have to share your cabin with a cockroach family.

Chiang Mai is a beautiful city with a long history and very old traditions. Chiang Mai is famous for its beauty, culture, natural sceneries and the gentle nature of its people. Chiang Mai (somtimes also written Chiangmai or Chiengmai) is considered the cultural center of the North and it is the second largest city in the country, next to Bangkok. It is located some 700 km north of Bangkok, among some of the highest mountains in the country. The Chiang Mai City area has a population of about 1 million.

I simply loved Chiang Mai and stood there three days..Chiang Mai has amazing temples if you are up early you can do the important ones in one day the ones in town anyways. There is one away from town that is also worthy to see.

You know what makes this place so much travelers' favorite... Mainly because it oozes culture and history with its pretty moat, crumbling bastions and ruined pagodas at every turn.
