There are various deluxe buses ply between Delhi and Shimla. there is train till Kalka also. or if you want to enjoy on the way all the fun book cabs.

There is various buses available from Delhi to Shimla. You may easily find these buses from "Kashmiri Gate Inter State Bus Terminal". Normally they use to charge around Rs. 250 for ordinary buses and Rs. 500 for AC delux buses. You can also hire CAB.

First mention when are you planning to visit ?
If you are planing in summer then you can take trip by train also.You can take the Kalka Shatabdi, which goes from New Delhi Railway Station to Kalka Railway Station via Chandigarh & time accessed approx. 7 Hrs(96 K.m). But in winter train mostly delay within time so I suggest not plan by train in winter but in summer it is good option.

You can take flight from Delhi to Shimla(Jubarhati, which is about 23 kilometres from the town , is the nearest airport).You can visit by Volvo bus & by cab..there are many travel agent you can contact them & plan trip.
