South African Safari

I am planning a trip to South Africa and doing a safari around the Western Cape area in May or June 2011. I am planning to be there for a week or two. Well, I have 2 kids (5 yrs and 3 yrs old) and I am wondering what some good vaccinations are for them if they will need to take anything for malaria? Please take your time to recommend the best vaccination, because I am not in hurry.

It depends on what camp you're heading to. Somewhere like Makanyane Safari Lodge is actually malaria free in the Madikwe Game Reserve. It's also a really nice place to take the kids. If you're thinking of going somewhere where malaria hasn't been eradicated, it is definitely important to inoculate them before your South Africa holiday.

If you are going to Africa and if you are with your kids its really important for you to be extra protective for them its not just about the malaria, You have to make sure that they dont get cold or headache as it happens with the kids when the environment changes. So for all of this there are some vaccinations which cure of all these desies. I don’t remember the exact vaccinations but you can easily find in any medical store.
