  • Travel Around Morocco

We booked a tour with www.desert-trips.com for 5 days in the Sahara, and wanted to let you know what a wonderful time we had. Our guide was Youssef and our driver was Ibrahim. They were terrific! We loved being with them, and we all had a great time roaming around the desert, stopping in small villages, and learning about the area. We highly recommend them to anyone planning an excursion in the desert. Ibrahim did a GREAT job driving us into and out of the area around Erg Chegaga. Safety was always his first priority.
Youssef was more than helpful with everything, discussing the history and giving us information about places and sites. He also was very conscious of our safety, and wanted to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. They were a great team. We laughed a lot and we hope that they enjoyed the tour as much as we did, even with all their responsibilities.
We had no idea that Morocco was so beautiful! We had many mountain drives through stunning scenery. Our first stop was Ait - Benhaddou. This was high on our list of places to see. It was amazing.
All the hotels during the tour were unique and very comfortable. Staff at hotels couldn’t have been more helpful or welcoming. Our first night was at Kasbah De Lavallee, overlooking the Dades river. Great stop and relaxing place after our drive through the stunning Rose Valley.
Next was Auberge Sahara, and it also was delightful. Great location, and wonderful food. We had a 5:40 a.m. camel ride that was great fun. Erg Chebbi just took our breath away – it is so amazing. Then a night at Riad Lamane, also very nice, beautiful pool, and certainly comfortable.
The night in the Berber tent was also memorable but in different ways. It was a hot night, but it ultimately cooled off early in the morning. A 6:00 camel ride in Chigaga was another fun experience. We loved the people who owned (or operated) the camp. They were so friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed very much being included in the African singing and drumming under the night sky.
As always, it’s the people who make travel so unforgettable. We will always have a soft spot in our hearts for Hamid and Yousef and hope that our paths will cross again someday. And we wish all the best to them and the group at the Berber tent camp. They are all very special. Please let them know how much we appreciated all their efforts and what a great experience we had with them.

Morocco is definitely safe. I was there last year for 6 weeks and had no problems at all. If you can get the chance try to visit Ifrane, its a beautiful little city in the Upper Atlas Mountain region, but well worth the trip. Make sure you pack for heat. Most of the year its pretty hot, but the evenings cool down quite a bit. Rabat is a great city and you should get pretty familiar with it ( the US Embassy is there ) just in case you have any problems while you are there. Depending on your family size, I would bring quite a bit of money. Prices in MOrocco are quite a bit lower than in the states, but if they know your american and if you pay with american money expect to be charged more for just about everything. Make sure you exchange your money and don't use credit cards. Most places in Morocco don't accept credit cards. The shops are mostly small family owned shops and will only accept Moroccan Dirhams. Other than that just have fun and enjoy your stay. You'll probably want to go back again! I wish I could!

I live in Morocco now, I invite you to visit soon.

I have heard of them and i must say these are the things which stays quite reasonable in every term no matter you go for a packaging or group ones everything has to be working decently and according to how the outcome is there to be.
When it comes to my traveling i usually use fort lauderdale to boca raton that stays quite reasonable for me.

I visited once in my life The Souss-Massa National Park. I have some knowledge about this park like this expand 33,800-hectare area on the Atlantic coast of Morocco which was created in 1991. In regard to international cooperation and exchanges, the Souss-Massa National Park has received technical support from the Teide National Park. I want to visit again in my life. I wish I got a chance and to travelling of this destination.
