La Mercè Festival

Catalunya's biggest festival, a celebration of the city's patron saint, has a full programme of open-air dancing, firework displays, concerts, parades and human towers. Events take place throughout the city.

Festival honouring Barcelona's patron saint La Mercè (Virgin of Mercy). The week long celebrations include parades, live music, firework displays, human towers, dancing and costumes. Events take place in the day and at night time at a number of locations in the city.

Catalan Wine and Cava Show
From: Wednesday, September 17, 2008 To: Wednesday, September 24, 2008
Over 400 wine houses, wineries and merchants from Alt Penedes and Catalonia will be presenting their products. At Maremagnum, Moll Espanya in Port Vell. Open every day from 10:00-22:00. Tel: 932 258 100.

It sounds very interesting. Maybe there will be more next year. I don't wanna miss it... How I wish I can join the festival next year!
