Thread: Travel to Northern Italy

Hi all
I'm planning to travel to Italy especially Northern cities such as Venice and Trieste. Is there anyone who have been there or live there to give me some facts about these cities?

Venice is one the most beautiful cities of Italy. Venice and its surrounding lagoons always tempt the tourists visiting here. The major transport here is traveling by feet or by waterways. The Canal Grande is one of the major water corridor of the city and lined alongside with major locations of Venice.
Apart from the rich landscapes Venice has a rich heritage of art and literature. Venice was one of the important places during the renaissance times. If you are history and literature lover then you should go for works of Vivaldi, da Vinci and Tintoretto in Venice. The La Laguna, San Rocco and Piazza San Marco are must visit places in Venice.
