Rajastan pronunciation is the largest state of india in terms of area. the state capitals is jaipur.
Rajasthan was formed on 30 March 1949, when all erstwhile princely states ruled by Rajputs, known as Rajputana, merged into the Dominion of India.
Rajasthan is culturally rich and has artistic and cultural traditions which reflect the ancient Indian way of life.

I heard most about it but unfortunately I have not been there so far.

Your tour to Rajasthan will take you through most of former regions called Rajputana, which comprised of Rajput kingdoms. The rich architectural and cultural heritage that Rajasthan takes pride in is a major contribution of its former independent kingdoms. It is an undeniable fact that Rajasthan is one of the premier tourist destinations that attracts attention for its historical forts, palaces and other majestic structures. On your tour to Rajasthan you will come across numerous forts and palaces that are wonderful amalgam of Muslim and Jain architectural features. The palaces of Jaipur, lakes of Udaipur, and desert forts of Jodhpur, Bikaner & Jaisalmer are among the most preferred destination of many tourists, Indian and foreign.
