Thread: Having your travel health insurance in order

This is one of the top priorities while travelling and having this in order is I believe vital for a none stressful vacation. This applies to any destination in the world im very sure of.

I have always had varying degrees of health insurance in addition to the coverage that my ongoing domestic health insurance offered me. Honestly though I am not sure it is something that would cause me stress if I didn't have it.

Do you really need additional travel insurance? I've never thought of that. I have full coverage already. I have no idea if I'm covered in another country.

You should contact whatever Canadian governmental agency that regulates the business of insurance. If their system works the same way as the U.S., you should be able to file a complaint on your mother's behalf (if you've got power of attorney), or write a complaint for her to sign (if you don't have POA). The complaint will be investigated to determine whether the insurer's decision is arbitrary or capricious.

When you are a frequent traveler, your health and accident insurance should always be in order.
