Yes at certain highways in germany you can go as fast as the car agrees on. But still take it easy.

You might be the best car driver in the world but you might have another less fortunate driver in the lane drunk or not screwing things up for you.

If you go too fast and comes in an accident you might have to pay for damages and no insurance in the world will help you. Heard about this the other day actually.

We are planning a trip there in 2011. Is there any must see places that are off the beaten path? Thanks in advance.

The south of germany has alot of small friendly villages and wonderful natures.

Cologne is a great city also with friendly people as far as I know. If you ever go there take some time and visit the cologne cathedral.

Berlin on the other hand is a real world city with lots of culture, artists, music, art and so on. The problem I see is how to find everything.

It also depends what sort of people you are, what do you enjoy ?
