    Default Stuttgart

    This is a "quiet" town, not like Muenchen famous for night life, but it has a good portion of night life.

    Has English speaking bars and pubs, clubs, home made beir in breweries and the area makes a lot iof wine.

    Stuttgart itself has around 600k people, but it also has the surrounding area, making it a metropol, reaching over 2 mil people.

    What you can visit here is:
    * the mercedes museum - stuttgart is the home of mercedes (deimler)
    * the porsche museum - stuttgart is the home of porsche
    * schillers house - the famous poet schiller was born here
    * wilhelma zoo - has rare plants, lots of animals and the famous polar bear cub Wilbaer (the one covered on bbc, cnn, even fox)
    * stuttgart center city park
    * the palace in city center adn the palace square (schloß platz)
    * the Ludwigsburg palace (do you know Schonbrun in Wien?, compare it to that)

    Stuttgart is a nice city, been there a few times. It's still personal but not being a major city.

    Default I liked staying in Stuttgart

    I liked staying in Stuttgart. I enjoyed staying in Mercure Bad Cannstatt hotel as the service was excellent and facilities were fantastic. It is not cheap yet relatively not too expensive. We found it in Last minute travel web site for 120-130$ a double room with internet and other facilities. Still… One of the cheapest in town.
