Thread: Car travel Egypt - Soudan

Can anyone offer some advice on traveling by car in Egypt from Cairo to Aswan and then by ferry to Wadi Halfa. It seems that it is now difficult to travel in the south. Are convoy organized by police / army ? I plan to travel to Sudan in two-three months if it is possible ! Thanks
