Eating Light, But Not Refusing Meat

During the summer, people secrete less gastric juice, but drink more water, which dilutes hydrochloric acid. As a result, their digestive systems are weakened. Therefore, they are advised to eat light foods, which are rich in nutrition, and avoid oily, fried foods. However, eating light food does not mean eating just vegetarian dishes.
According to the theories of traditional Chinese medicine, despite being rich in cellulose and vitamins, vegetarian foods tend to lack proteins, which bodies need.
Therefore, people should never refuse to eat meat, even during the hot days of summer.
It is always good to eat lean meat, eggs, milk, fish and bean products. To keep the food light and tasty, various cooking methods can be used, such as steaming the food or eating it cold with some sauce. It is good to wrap a tender green lotus leaf around some chicken or meat and heat the food by steaming.
