Default Discover Beijing's oldest and most modern sides in one day.

We start off the tour at the Summer Palace which is one of the largest Imperial Gardens of the Qing Dynasty. On November 30th 1998, it was placed on the List of World Cultural Heritage by the World Cultural Heritage Committee of UNESCO. You can enjoy the best scenery in the Garden, the Hall of Benevolence and Longevity(the place for the emperor to handle state affairs), the Hall of Jade Ripples(the place that Emperor Guangxu was kept under house arrest), the Hall of Happiness and Longevity(the major building in the living quarters), the Long Corridor(the longest painting corridor in the world), Etc.

After our trip in the Summer Palace, we transport to the Mutianyu Great Wall. This part of the Great Wall is the most favorite part by foreigners. It is not as crowded as Badaling but more beautiful then it. You can get the Great Wall form foothill by a cable car or walk on a path. It’s up to you. Then you overcome the Wall on your own. When you get down also can choice another exciting recreation(the slideway).

Then we head back to the Olympic center to see the true symbol of Chinese economical and technological development; the National Stadium aka the Bird's Nest Stadium given its twig-like structure and bowl shaped roof. With a capacity of 91,000 seats and an area of 258,000 m², this will be the venue for major Olympic events such as the opening and closing ceremonies and the football (soccer) final. There is another main building the National Swimming Center aka the Water Cube which has a total floor space of 70,000 m² with a seating capacity of 17,000. The center was used for swimming, diving and water-polo games during the Olympic Games. It is dubbed "cube" because of its semi-transparent "bubbles" which spread out all over its surface making have a shape very similar to the structure of water.
