Thread: What's your worst travel experience?

We were flying to Sweden but due to weather problem plane has to be landed in Amsterdam. And we waited there at the airport for aprrox 8 hours. That time screwed me. But Sweden was great..

I traveled various places some of them were nearest to our location and some were very far. But one trip which I can't forgot ever that when we visited to Italy, while we crossing the road my aunt had a road accident.
That time we were new for that place so no one was there to help or to tell about hospitals and medicals.
One person over there told about the details but we were very scared for her as none of us was aware of that place. Our tourist guide was unable to get in Contact. But somehow we sorted that issue and aunt is well now. It was worst tour of my life, I would never like to share such travel experience.

My worst travel experience ever was in Spain between the two sides of Spain, negotiating my way with my son and his friend travelling with us. On one side, they were minors, and on the other side, they were adults. None of us spoke Spanish, it was all very remote and not like the easy Spanish beaches we had been to before. Still, it was a long time ago, and I was not very knowledgeable then.

I was travelliung to India last year, had a great time everywhere i went, it was a BIG cultural shock for me, but i enjoyed it.. the worst par was a Hotel in a place called Lucknow, where i had booked a room at one Hotel Piccadily! it was the worst hotel stay of my life, it was supposed to be a % star hotel, but it really was horrible as far as service hospitality are concerned!

India, I dont want to go their again!

For me, breaking my tailbone by falling down the stairs in the Paris Metro was pretty bad (even worse: the 10-hour flight back to the States), but the winner has to be the time I became violently ill from the food on an overnight flight from Seoul to Sydney.
