Cocoa Beach, and the other beaches in Brevard County, are the closest to Orlando; 50 minutes to 1 hour and 15 minutes drive time. Be sure to book your rooms at a place that is right on the beach. You will be near Cape Kennedy Space Center, Port Canaveral (where the cruise ships come and go, there are several restaurants at the port where you can have your meal and watch all the ships go by).

I would say either Daytona or Clearwater. Both are pretty good. Clearwater is amazing with a lot of fun activities.

If you wanna select a beach near to Orlando beach than my first recommendation would be Daytona Beach. Instead of that Cocoa Beach, Melbourne Beach and New Smyrna Beach these are nice and closet ones from Orlando beach.
