When talking to Asia region tourism, Vietnam featured as the highlight 
together with famous destinations are acknowledged by world organizations (World Heritage, Seven New World Wonder of Nature and so on) therefore we decided to have a trip to Halong Bay, Vietnam
We chose a four days tour and it included 1 night on a boat in Halong Bay and 1 night in a bungalow. The trip also included a bike ride on Cat Ba Island.
We went with an agency that called themselves 'small group' but there wasn't anything small about these groups. At times we had about 30 people with us.
Starting from the trip, the bus ride was almost 4 hours and the roads are terrible! I wouldn't want to have been pregnant and had to sit through that ride.
The boat was impressive! We had the luxury room and it was better than many hotels we have stayed in so far. We had a SMALL balcony, very hard bed and nice hot shower.
The bike ride on Cat Ba was lovely, a few small hills but nothing i couldn't walk up in a couple of minutes. More information from Halong Paradise Cruise and Indochina Legend Company
