    The Final Frontier

    I would love to be able to afford one of the trips that are becoming available into space. Nothing too fancy, just to go into orbit and see the earth from above. Ultimately a space station that was for guests rather than Mir's scientific purpose would be wonderful too.

    Anyone else with extraterrestrial ambitions?

      I have suspicions on whether we actually had a man land on the moon. Either way, it would be pretty cool to do.

        Yes of course that's what my ultimate dream could be. To travel the universe. I even told myself that I would be complete and ready to die if I can go there even at my earlier days.

          The Final Frontier was me stealing my inspiration for this thread title from a well known TV show. The show that has led to my desire to travel into space

          I too would have considered my life complete having done this at one time. But now I have a child and my desire is to see her grow.

            While it sounds great, I don’t think I could do it!

            I have a hard enough time going up in a plane, never mind a shuttle…

              Same here, it sounds wonderful, but no thank you. I have it enough hard getting on an airflight.

                I can get on them alright - its the whole take off thing that scares the crap out of me!

                Then the whole actual being in the air

                And of course the landing...

                  No matter how much I want to go to space, I will not go even if I could afford it. I may not come back down from there.

                    Man that space thing comes off to be cool. I mean it cost alot of money just to go but at the same time It still looks fun as heck!
