another place whereby you can find a good and affordable economy hotel is the ibis singapore on bencoolen. it is located at the bencoolen street.

i have feedbacks from my overseas friends that they enjoyed the hotel experience in ibis singapore. thus, hope my recommendation helps if anybody is on a tight budget.
