The US visa application will now require two appointments, making it a two-day affair instead of one.
Taking into effect from September 26, 2012, the new US visa processing system now requires applicants seeking an American visa to schedule two separate appointments, one for biometric collection and the other for consular visa interview, either online or by phone, from the US embassy or Consulate with jurisdiction over their place of permanent residence as per Washington’s new visa processing system.
