A great afternoon trip from Athens, this is one of those spots that is as much a favorite with the locals as it is with the tourists. It's a favorite sunset-viewing spot for everyone, and will give you a classically Greek moment against the ruined monument along with a terrific sea view.

Greece has seen a long and storied history that boasts thousands of years of civilizations who paved the road for those that came after them. For those who appreciate history and architectural ruins, Greece travel is ideal. Athens alone could satisfy the history buff for weeks.

For adventurers, there is excitement waiting at each and every Greece vacation spot. Ski the mountains of northern Greece and the Peloponnese peninsula, rock climb at Meteora, take a bike tour on the island of Crete. Hikers will experience a hike like no other on the volcanic island of Santorini. You can book a charter and sail the Aegean Sea from one island to another by yacht.

Thanks For sharing this informative information. The most beautifull place in the world. Greece was the first area in Europe where advanced early civilizations emerged. I love Crete island in Grecce, good food, vine, beautiful beaches...

    Thanks.

there are a lot of great beaches suitable for surfing in Greece. Rhodes and Naxos, for instance, are two islands with the perfect wind for surfing and many people all over the world are going there for that purpose.

I absolutely love Greece! I think it is one of my favourite countries in Europe.

Athens was OK, but I really loved my time on some of the Islands - Santorini, Corfu, Mykonos and Ios.

I thought Greece was affordable (well, for the most part), the beaches great and the people lovely.

And you can't go wrong with authentic Greek food!
