Oz is amazing - but its also a huge place!
You'd want to know where you want to visit before going there, plan in advance as internal travel is fairly costly. The trains are cheaper than the planes but the distances are vast and you don't want to be spending days locked up in a carriage.
Just something to think about!!

Yes, it is on my wish list as well-----is Sydney still the most touristy city? I think I would prefer a smaller city that is easy to get around in.
And then if you want a great beach destination to lay around for a bit, there are many choices. I am leaning towards one that is 2 hours from Sydney, Brisbane, or Melbourne and even closer to New Zealand.
