Sahara truly is a land of interesting extremes.

Desert race or a desert safari provides one with the thrill and adrenaline that no other sport can offer.

Well, Sahara is the world’s largest desert area. It covers from the Africa’s Atlantic Ocean side to the Red sea and consists of the countries of Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, Mauritania, Libya, Egypt, Sudan, Mali, Niger and Chad. One thing that you definitely be prepared in for a Sahara trip is the heat. It can be so hot out there that it's a good advice to carry as much Water as you can.

Yeah it says that global warming and poor farming methods are the possible causes
of it. I hope it's the greeneries that expands not the dessert

The Sahara (The Great Desert) is the world's largest hot desert. At over 9,400,000 square kilometers (3,630,000 sq mi), it covers most of Northern Africa, making it almost as large as Europe or the United States. The only larger desert in the world is Antarctica, classified as such because of very low precipitation rates. The Sahara stretches from the Red Sea, including parts of the Mediterranean coasts, to the outskirts of the Atlantic Ocean. To the south, it is delimited by the Sahel, a belt of semi-arid tropical savanna that comprises the northern region of central and western Sub-Saharan Africa.

Yes you are right The Sahara Desert is The World's Largest Hot Desert. Since the Sahara Desert makes up nearly 10% of the African continent, the Sahara is often cited as the world's largest desert.

The most interesting thing happened this year that parts of Sahara desert in western Algeria received snow fall this year. You can never predict what nature has locked in its vaults.

The Sahara is one of the hottest places on Earth. Even though temperatures there may rise to 136 F (57.7 C), its dryness, not heat, that makes a place like the Sahara a desert. The frozen continent of Antarctica is so dry that some scientists consider it a desert, too.
